| RUSSIAN CHRISTIAN ACADEMY FOR THE HUMANITIES |
|
The Russian Christian Academy was founded in 1989 by the group of university professors and academic scholars as an independent and autonomous institution of higher learning in the humanities. Originally titled as The Higher Courses in the Humanities following Russian pre-Revolutionary tradition it changed its name in 1991 when its basic curriculum proved to become accomplished and recognized by the city Council.
MISSION
We try to provide an excellent education using the original model of coherent humanities learning based on five principle fields forming the heart of the humanities: literature, philosophy, history, religion, and the history of science. We pursue good results through this kind of teaching, close student/faculty interaction, scholarly and publishing activity. Following the world Christian tradition with special emphasis on Russian Orthodox values, we are looking for our place in changing environment that is socially and religiously diverse.
