Correspondence between A. N. Egunov and A. A. Musil.

Annotation

A letter by A. N. Egunov dedicated to the play of the Alexandrinsky Theater "The Nobleman's Nest" based on the story by I. Turgenev, as well as the response to it by the director of this play, A. A. Musil, is published. These letters are important evidence of A. N. Egunov's approach to working with the original, on which a new work is built. He places the same requirements on the theatrical production as on the translation: the unity of stylistic solutions. At the same time, these letters add information to the history of one of the most famous theaters of the Northern Capital of Russia.
