Metaphysics of cognition in the poetry by Ivan Zhdanov
Annotation
The article considers artistic creativity as a special type of cognition of the world, allowing one to achieve the interpenetrating unity of thought in oneself, the cognitive act and the direct flow of life through experiencing of the event of the artistic word. The purpose of the research is to reveal the meaning of the poetic way of cognition using the example of a philosophical analysis of the poetry by Ivan Zhdanov, whose work represents the modernistic branch in the newest Russian literature. The metaphysical conception of artistic cognition expressed in Zhdanov’s poetry is revealed based on the analysis of the piece of poetry “The delayed apple doesn’t sleep...” from the poetry collection “Identikit of the forbidden world” (1997). The analysis of the system of poetic images carried out in the article reveals the author’s understanding of the question about the destination of the poet. True cognition of the unity of the world, according to Zhdanov, can only be an internal experience of the unity of time, possible in an artistic event.
