The article is devoted to the study of the role and place of a human’s labor and socio- political activity in the process of his formation as a personality, as they are understood in the personalism of Emmanuel Mounier and in the philosophical anthropology of Immanuel Kant. The author analyzes such concepts of Mounier’s personalism as “embodiment” and “involvement”. The position of these concepts in Mounier’s doctrine of the personal development of a human is revealed. A comparative analysis of the concepts under consideration is carried out in the context of the Kantian system of philosophical anthropology. In particular, the semantic content of the concepts of “embodiment” and “immersiveness” is compared with Kant’s doctrine of the disclosure of the technical and pragmatic inclinations of a human. Conclusions are drawn about the significant similarity of the views of both philosophers on the relationship between labor and socio-political activity of a human with his spiritual and moral development. The distinctive features of the views of Kant and Mounier on the philosophical-anthropological and socio-philosophical issues under consideration are revealed, the conceptual differences of these views are explored.
