<abstract xml:lang="ru">

The article examines the development and gradual transformation of the views of supporters of the exclusive approach in the Christian theology of religions. It is noted that by the end of the 20th century there was a gradual transition from consideration primarily of soteriological issues to an assessment of ways of knowing and understanding the truth of religious beliefs, as well as from more closed forms of exclusivism to more open ones within which both is propoused a theological basis for interreligious dialogue and a range of helpful suggestions that can help missionaries improve and deepen their “relating to others” skills.
