<p>The topic of the relationship between the Church and the state of the Soviet period currently continues to be a very relevant area of scientific research. Despite numerous works, many features of the processes taking place at that time require more detailed consideration and analysis. One of these gaps that has not been completely closed is the interaction of Patriarch Tikhon (Belavin) of Moscow and All Russia and the Soviet government from 1918 to 1922.
The article presents a detailed examination of the messages, resolutions and decisions adopted by His Holiness, which were closely interrelated and mutually influenced both the reality of the Church and the socio-state situation in our Fatherland, which gives an idea of the stability of religious institutions in the face of political changes.
The main sources of the study were materials from the Central Archive of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation and the Russian State Historical Archive.</p>
<kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>Святейший патриарх Московский и всея Руси Тихон (Белавин)</kwd><kwd>патриарх Тихон</kwd><kwd>изъятие церковных ценностей</kwd><kwd>первые годы советской власти</kwd><kwd>церковно-государственные отношения</kwd><kwd>Гражданская война</kwd><kwd>Русская Православная церковь</kwd><kwd>декрет об отделении церкви от государства</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>His Holiness Patriarch Tikhon (Belavin) of Moscow and All Russia</kwd><kwd>Patriarch Tikhon</kwd><kwd>seizure of church valuables</kwd><kwd>early years of Soviet power</kwd><kwd>church-state relations</kwd><kwd>Civil War</kwd><kwd>Russian Orthodox Church</kwd><kwd>decree on the separation of church and state</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta>
