Annotation

The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the concept of “State- Civilization”, which emerged as a response to the crisis of the liberal unipolar world order and the Westphalian system of nation- states. This phenomenon, which confirms Huntington’s predictions, marks a shift fr om a focus on national identity to one based on civilizational identity, wh ere the legitimacy of political authority is rooted in deep cultural, moral, and religious traditions. The author explores the theoretical foundations of this concept, including philosophical interpretations through various perspectives on definitions of civilization and “large space”. The paper presents a comparative analysis of practical manifestations of state- civilization in non- Western countries such as China, India, Islamic states, Latin America, and Africa. Special attention is paid to justification of Russia as sovereign state- civilizations reflected in strategic documents. The conclusion is that the “state- civilization” initiative is a key geopolitical one aimed at creating a multipolar world order and ensuring the integral sovereignty of nations in the context of global competition.
