Human locality as a subject of geophilosophy (conceptual analysis)

Annotation

The article discusses the problems of geophilosophy through the prism of human locality. Man is the locum tenens of his being. And the place determines the nature and direction of his being. He is called to take care of the place, preserving and multiplying the potential hidden in it. And in the same way, through a place, he joins being, forming together with him a unity (locality). The author considers the essence, plans and structure of a person's place of existence from the standpoint of conceptual analysis. At the same time, locality is analyzed as a natural ("organic") and historically conditioned "territory of being" of a person, a system of places forming a unique cultural, natural and psychosocial landscape ("terrain") and guided by the plan of being, which is differentiated depending on the specifics of culture into several variants (immanence, transcendence or a combination thereof). According to the author, in the process of designing, a person corrects one or another plan of locality (immanence, transcendence, etc.), implementing it in a system of places ("localities"), as well as in specific circumstances of space and time. This is how, using the design tools available to him (descriptions, locations, etc.), he becomes a person of the place ("local resident").
