Destruction of traditional values as a possible factor of the mental degradation of the people

Annotation

In the 21st century, war, as an integral part of interstate interaction, has acquired new qualities, expressed in the actualization of hybridization processes. And the centuries-old civilizational confrontation has reached a different level, exacerbating to an extreme degree the importance of combining the need for global coexistence of all mankind and the principled upholding of one's own national identity in order to achieve independence in resolving domestic and foreign policy issues. The purpose of the study is to analyze the complex of threats that negatively affect the national security of the Russian Federation as a whole by carrying out attacks on the Russian national mentality. The vital Russian traditional values that need to be protected within the framework of protecting the national mentality are the basic spiritual and moral values and cultural norms, religious foundations, the institution of marriage and family values. Their protection from "hybrid" attacks is the key to preserving the identity of the entire Russian nation.
