Annotation

The authors of the article focus on the heroes of small prose by V. Shukshin. The main task is to identify the features of those textual components, the appearance of which is due to the orientation to the personalization of the civilizational discourse studied by the artist. When solving this task, methods of analyzing traditional literary text developed in line with historical and ontological poetics were used first of all. The main conclusion: the writer's artistic anthropology is represented by the character antithesis of “freaks” (“clear-eyed”) and “pop-eyed idols” (“strong men”, “energetic people”). The essence of this confrontation reveals the true content of the civilizational conflict, on the study of which Shukshin was primarily focused. The research perspective is conditioned by the demand for analytical approaches aimed at identifying the genesis and structure of the character series created by Shukshin in a broad cultural and historical context, especially by carefully peering into his sentimental demagogues, philosophers.

Keywords
