Annotation

The article deals with the origin of metaphysical physicalism, the premise of which is positivism. A consequence of metaphysical physicalism is non-cognitivism. In the traditional sense, non-cognitivism is associated with emotivism, but its more dangerous form is nihilism. Non-cognitivism obliges the proponent of metaphysical physicalism to eliminate values, and therefore inevitably leads him to nihilism. Clive Lewis and Uwe Meixner show the fatal consequences of this position, leading to the destruction of man.

Keywords

physicalism, non-cognitivism, emotivism, norm, positivism, nihilism, C. S. Lewis, U. Meixner, I. Kant.
