The political platonism of father P. A. Florensky: «The intended state structure in the future»

Annotation

The political views of P. A. Florensky are studied in the following article. The theological, political and philosophical criticism of A. S. Khomyakov’s views by P. Florensky is analyzed. The work «The intended state structure in the future» by P. Florensky is examined. The theses of Florensky’s work are briefly compared with the ones of Plato’s «Republic». The main philosophical key-notes of Florensky’s work are revealed in the article. They can be named as the following: theological, Eurasian and Platonic. The closeness of Florensky’s, I. A. Ilyin’s and Eurasian representatives’ thoughts is noted. Florensky’s political philosophy can be characterized as deeply rooted in philosopher’s theological worldview. At the same time there are some similarities between the ideas of father Pavel and the ones of Plato.
