Annotation

The article presents an analysis the reflection and development of concepts and ideas of analytical philosophy on the Russian stage from the 50s of the twentieth century to the present. They are characterized not only by a deep analysis of analytical philosophy and modern positivism, but by a positive assessment of some of its developments in the field of the theory of knowledge: problems of logic and mathematics, logical constructions, “theoreticalcognitive neutrality” of neopositivists, the theory of sensory data; the subject of philosophy as the logical analysis of language; conditions necessary for a logically perfect language; problems of sign, meaning and meaning, semantics and the “theory of descriptions”. The possibility of transmitting the cognitive content of science in formalized systems is based on the epistemological functions of signs. Without improving the means of thinking —language, creating new terms, new language structures, etc., the progress of human knowledge is impossible.
