The article is devoted to the analysis of D. A. Golovushkin’s monograph «The Discourse
of Renovationism: setting up optics», devoted to the study of the problems of conceptual and
terminological apparatus, context, method and terminological apparatus in the discourse of Russian Orthodox Renovationism at the beginning of the XX century. The author tried
to analyze the problems of the history and current state of the discourse of renovationism;
the conceptual and terminological apparatus of the discourse of renovationism; the context
and method in the discourse of renovationism; the conceptual space of the discourse of
renovationism. Russians Russian Orthodox Renovationism has been defined by the author,
trying to prove that it is a distributed project of reinstitutionalization, and subsequently
deinstitutionalization of Russian Orthodoxy in the changing political and socio- cultural
conditions of the first half of the 20th century.
