Annotation

The article aims to explore the problem of the formation of youth in Russian prose of the XX–XXI centuries. on selected examples. The main interest is directed to works that deal with the formation of the moral composition of the personality of adolescents in closed educational institutions, in an orphanage. The analysis shows: a typological comparison of works about the formation of youth on the example of the novel by A. I. Kuprin “Junker”, written in forced exile, the story of the soviet writer V. E. Pikul’ “Boys with bows”, stories of the modern Orthodox writer Vladimir Hoffmann helps to make sure that the main principle uniting them in the importance of the spiritual and moral foundations of national identity, forming a holistic, harmoniously developed personality with traditional values, which is revealed in these texts.
