Morphology and axiology of the Neo-Pagan Slavic fairy tale

Annotation

The article is aimed to analyze the stylistic, figurative, compositional and axiological aspects of neo-pagan fairy tales of early XXI century. These works should be characterized as non-professional fiction based on folklore plots. Their connection both with traditional folklore and modern writing ensures the use of stable images and cliches as well as newspeak, tropes and intertextuality. In the system of images there is anthropocentrism as a trace of modern culture in the consciousness of a modern author. Three types of synthesis in texts – eclectic chronotope construction, synthetic vocabulary, a combination of borrowed form and authentic content – also characterize neo-paganism as a phenomenon. The values represented by images and the values influencing the author's activity are determined. The protagonists' super-values (immortality, eternal youth and the ability to understand the language of nature) also reflect the ideas of neo-pagans about the ideal world and harmony, the return of which their activities are dedicated to.
