Annotation

The article is devoted to the problem of representation of topos «Gott starb» in the works of Leonid Andreev. It is proved that for the writer the Nietzschean tradition is a discourse understanding method. Based on the events and problems generated by the era of modernity, including those of a religious nature, L.N. Andreev interprets them from the point of view of theoretical and philosophical systems. An attempt to represent the metaphysical fear and horror of his time dictates an appeal to one of the most recognizable philosophers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The most important themes and motifs in the author's work are identified, reflecting the general semantic field of the topos. On the example of some works of the writer («The Story of Sergei Petrovich», «Eleazar»), their transformation in relation to the previous literary tradition is shown.

Keywords
