“Future integral worldview” by Pavel Florensky: an attempt at reconstruction
Annotation
This article is a kind of experience of reconstruction of what Pavel Florensky called "the future integral worldview". It examines the thinker's unique understanding of the Orthodox faith, which presupposes a comprehensive synthesis of the most diverse areas of human activity. Special attention is paid to his understanding of culture and technology as an anti-entropic activity and the struggle for logos against chaos. The article also considers original epistemology of the philosopher, which removes the rationalistic isolation of subject and object and sets being in Truth as the highest goal of cognition. The article analyzes views of the philosopher on science that have been greatly influenced by N.Bugaev's arrhythmology and the natural science style of I.Goethe and M. Faraday. Distinctive features here are the revival of the Pythagorean concept of form, holism and orientation to practice, which brings Florensky's views closer to synergetics.
