Annotation

The internal unity of liturgy and theology, arising from the nature of Christian worship as the fullness of the life of the Church and as the manifestation of the Church to the world as the Body of Christ, requires conceptualization in the discourse of a special synthetic science — liturgical theology. The immanent connection between worship and theology in Christianity is due to the continuity of the Old Testament and New Testament traditions, which actualizes the dialectic of the continuity and novelty of spiritual life. The substantial basis and historical form of this unity is the Psalter and the spiritual life of the ancient Jews and Christians organized by it.
